DESCRIPTION:What\nThis four-part series provides the tools to evaluate livestock surface water risk and increase forage access under changing climate conditions. These webinars will introduce a method for assessing the climate change risks to surface water sources and explain how to apply this process to water and range use management and planning. \nParticipants should plan to commit to attending all four live sessions as the content builds on what was covered in the previous session. DESCRIPTION:What\nPart B of a two-part lunchtime workshop series for farmers and ranchers that will highlight potential wildfire risks to agricultural operations and the measures producers can take to prepare for and mitigate those risks. \nThe sessions will also cover key content in the Farm/Ranch wildfire guide and workbook. \nWorkshop B will cover: \n\nKey considerations for risk reduction on agricultural properties\, such as reducing combustibles\, using fire resistant materials\, and planning for sprinkler protection\, including best practices unique to agriculture\nLivestock protection planning\nEmployee and visitor evacuation planning\, including for operations with multiple properties\, seasonal workers and agritourism\nSafety and legal considerations when burning\nInsurance considerations and damage assessment and recovery after a wildfire\n\nWhen & where\n\nOnline\nNoon to 1:30 p.m.\nPart A: Tuesday\, April 20\, 2021\nPart B: Tuesday\, April 27\, 2021\n\nBoth sessions are highly recommended\, but we welcome you to register even if you are only able attend one of the sessions.
