The Project Report provides an overview of a 2013 study that evaluated the role of farm practices in adaptation. It describes the project methodology and characteristics of the 29 farms engaged in the project. It also outlines the rationale for the criteria used to evaluate the practices. This summary report documents and evaluates 46 farm practices. Farm flexibility and diversification were also considered and documented.
The project developed reports on six different farm practices:
- Conservation tillage
- Management-intensive grazing
- Nutrient management
- Water storage
Each adaptive farm practice has an individual report that analyzes the potential for each farm practice to reduce farm risk and increase resilience in a changing climate. Background information about each farm practice and its level of adoption of BC is provided, as well as case studies from specific farms.
